Workout schedule week
I prefer to plan ahead with a workout schedule for the week, and this is how my schedule looks like:
Day | Week 1 |
---|---|
Monday: | Chest and Biceps |
Tuesday: | Rest & Foam roller |
Wednesday: | Legs and Shoulders |
Thursday: | Rest & Foam roller |
Friday: | Back and Triceps |
Saturday: | Rest & Foam roller |
Sunday: | Rest/Core |
— | Week 2 |
Monday: | Legs and Shoulders |
Tuesday: | Rest & Foam roller |
Wednesday: | Back and Triceps |
Thursday: | Rest & Foam roller |
Friday: | Chest and Biceps |
Saturday: | Rest & Foam roller |
Sunday: | Rest/Core |
— | Week 3 |
Monday: | Back and Triceps |
Tuesday: | Rest & Foam roller |
Wednesday: | Chest and Biceps |
Thursday: | Rest & Foam roller |
Friday: | Legs and Shoulders |
Saturday: | Rest & Foam roller |
Sunday: | Rest/Core |
So, every three weeks I switch what muscle groups I workout and there are two/three rest days. Sometimes when I’m feeling still run-down, I rest for one more day and continue on with the plan the following day. Sunday is a lazy day, so I use this day as reserving time for core. This way, even if I don’t do any core workouts during the week, my core muscles will still get some attention.
Exercise with foam roller
Foam roller is one of the main workout tool that can help me with weight loss. This is a form of self-massage that can help me to loosen up tight muscles, improve range of motion, and reduce pain. Constant use of foam roller have even shown that it helps me burn fat and lose weight.
The way use a foam roller, I simply roll back and forth over the desired area for 15-20 times. For best results I focus on rolling out any areas that are especially tight or sore. As you can see from the table I use a foam roller in the resting time between work out days, so it’s not being considered as an activity of its own, but it still counts towards my day activities.
Maintain water balance
Water balance is the process of maintaining the body’s water levels. The body needs to have the right amount of water in order to function properly. There are a few ways I maintain water balance:
- Drink enough water. The body is made up mostly of water, so it is essential to keep the body hydrated. Drinking 7 - 8 glasses of water a day is a good rule of thumb. However, this may vary depending on factors such as exercise and weather.
- Eat foods that contain a lot of water. This helps me to add extra hydration to the diet. Water-rich foods include fruits and vegetables, soup, and oatmeal.
- Limit caffeine and alcohol intake. Both of these substances can dehydrate the body and should be consumed in moderation.
Count calories
Counting calories is one of the most important things I can do to lose weight. By knowing how many calories I consume, I can better control my weight.
Since I know that’s a boring part, I prefer to spend one day doing it and then have it for the next week. This is called batch cooking. I cook my meal for the entire week, count calories once and put it into meal boxes so that next week I’ll have proteins, carbs and fats ready.
Getting good night’s sleep
A good night’s sleep is essential for maintaining my health and well-being. It helps improve my mood, boost immune system, and reduce stress levels. Lack of sleep can lead to serious health problems, such as obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. This is a evening routine I do to ensure to get a good night’s sleep:
- Whether it is a holiday or not, I go to bed at the same time every day.
- I turn on the humidifier and ventilate the room to create a comfortable environment.
- Make sure my bedroom is dark, quiet, and cool.
- Avoid caffeine and alcohol before bed.
- Whether it is a holiday or not, I wake up at the same time every day.
